Games Until April Are Postponed; Match Pairings And Competition Format May Change Upon Resumption

Following the Government’s declaration of “Code Red Sub-Level 2′ and the imposition of Stringent Social Distancing Measures in the National Capital Region (NCR) for thirty (30) days, which includes in the following directive, to wit:

”mass gatherings, defined as events where the number of people attending could strain the planning and response resources of the community hosting the event, shall be prohibited during the aforesaid period”.

Therefore, please be advised of the following;

1. All PSL matches scheduled from March 14, 2020, until April 12, 2020, are hereby suspended and postponed.

2. Matches may resume 7-10 days after April 12, 2020. This is to give time to all the teams to re-group and prepare for their games.

3. Considering the technical impact of the 30-day period, match pairings and competition format may be changed or modified to ensure that the Grand Prix Conference will be finished on or before June 23, 2020.

It is the hope of the PSL BOARD that through our collective effort and support to the Government’s call for ‘stricter implementation of preventive measures to slow-down and put a halt to the further spread of COVID-19’ will put us all and our loved ones out of harm’s way.
