Access GMA Programs on Mavshack on Different Devices including TVs

GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV-International are all available on Mavshack when you subscribe to the GMA Pinoy Pack. Catch-up episodes of your favorite shows and movies are also available on the pack via GMA On Demand. Access all these content on Mavshack on your smart TVs through the following:

A. Chromecast or Chromecast Built-in (Formerly Google Cast):

If you have a Chromecast device connected to your TV or if your TV has Chromecast built-in, you can use the Chrome browser on your computer to cast Mavshack to your TV.

  1. On your computer, open the Chrome browser (version 72 or higher).
  2. Sign In to www.mavshack.com. (clickable)
  3. Select the channel or VOD/replay that you want to watch.
  4. Select the Cast icon from the lower right side of the player window.
  5. Select your Chromecast receiver in the list shown and it will start playing on your Chromecast device.
  6. You can control the playback from your computer.

NOTE: Your computer and Chromecast must be using the same Wi-Fi network.

B. External cable:

You can use an external cable to connect a desktop or laptop computer to your TV in order to display your computer onto the TV.

  1. Connect the laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable.
  2. Turn on both devices.
  3. Select the correct HDMI input on the TV with the remote.

Note: The connection between the two devices should be established automatically. But in case it doesn’t, go to Settings > System > Display and make sure “TV” is selected. You can also adjust the resolution to match the one of your television. One that’s done, press the Windows key and the “P” key and then select the “Duplicate” option.

C. Cast and Android screen to your TV:

Use the Mavshack app.

The most reliable and consistent way to cast GMA content from Mavshack is Mavshack app. If you don't have it installed you can download it from the Play store.

With the Mavshack app installed, here's what you need to do:

  1. Open the app, login, and select the channel or episode/movie you want to see.
  2. Select the Cast icon from the player-window.
  3. The content will now be played on your Chromecast device.
  4. You can manage the content playing from you Android device.

NOTE: To stop casting tap the cast app and select "Stop Casting".

D. AirPlay/Cast video from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

Use the Mavshack app.

  1. Connect your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV, AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV or Chromecast device.
  2. Make sure you have download the Mavshack app from Appstore
  3. Start the app and login
  4. Select the content you want to view
  5. In the player window click either the AirPlay icon or the Cast icon to connect to your receiver.
  6. You can manage the content playing from your iOS device.

NOTE: To stop streaming select the AirPlay icon or Cast icon and disconnect from your receiver.

E. AirPlay video from your Mac:

  1. Connect your Mac to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
  2. In you Safari browser open the Mavshack website
  3. Login and find the content you want to watch and click play-button
  4. In the player window select the AirPlay icon and select to your AppleTV or SmartTV.

NOTE: To stop streaming, tap AirPlay icon and disconnect from it

F. Use the Mavshack App on your AppleTV:

  1. Start your AppleTV device
  2. Go to the Appstore and download the Mavshack app.
  3. Start the app and login
  4. Find the content you want to watch and click play.
  5. You can manage the playing content with you AppleTV remote as per ususal.
